timeSensor LEGAL allows any language to be set up as office language. Office languages are languages in which the office communicates formally to the outside and in which invoices or other documents are to be sent. The more languages you define as office languages, the greater the administration and maintenance effort for the various translations and templates.
Create languages
To create a new language, go to the Settings area. Click on Basic Data and select Languages . A small window appears in which you can see your existing languages. Click on the plus button to add a language.
You can enter the new language in the input window:
Name : Enter the name of the language here
ISO 639-1 Code : Select the ISO code of your language here
Translation website : If you like, you can upload a translation website here, which you can call up from the timesheet in case of doubt to have a translation done.
Salutations : Here you configure the desired salutations for men, women and legal entities. The salutations should be complete so that the address entry remains consistent.
Maintain translations
When you create a new language, you must remember to update the translation table and translate the expressions into the new language. In the Settings area, click Basic Data and select Translations . Enter all expressions in the new language in this table.
You should also store the appropriate translations for all recorded data records that are used on invoices or in general correspondence. This concerns in particular:
- performance groups
- Services
- price lists
- clerk levels
- Countries
- VAT rates
You will find a blue translation icon next to the text fields in these data records. Here you can enter the translation for the new language.
Finally, you must create the appropriate language version for all templates used in the office.
Think carefully before creating a new language, because the language can be created quickly, but the translation work that is required afterwards is a lot of work.
