Initial situation

With the amendment of the Federal Act on Combating Money Laundering (GWG), lawyers must ensure in certain cases (e.g., real estate or company sales) that GWG-relevant files are kept separate from other cases are kept and stored separately are kept. The same client can have both GWG-relevant and non-GWG-relevant cases – only some of them need to be marked accordingly.

Solution: Add-In A01 "Custom Fields"

For this purpose, we recommend the Add-In A01 Custom Fields. This allows you to add your own custom fields directly to the case – for example, a field "GWG-relevant" (Yes/No or as a checkbox).

Advantages of this solution:

• The custom field is case-specific: The same client can have individual cases marked as GWG-relevant, others not.
• The field can be set to "mandatory" so that filling it out is required when creating a new case.
• The field appears in the case list and can be displayed, searched, and sorted there.
• Filters and evaluations Filters and evaluations can be created based on this field.

How to proceed

1. Book the Add-In A01 Custom Fields (if not already available – please contact our sales team).
2. Define a new custom field for the case, e.g.:
   • Field Name: GWG-relevant
   • Field type: checkbox or dropdown list (Yes / No)
3. Optional: Set the field to "mandatory"so that it must be filled out for every new case.
4. Display the field in the case list to get an overview of all GWG-relevant cases.
